Position Overview
Educate! is seeking a highly organized, people-centered, and execution-strong Program Coordinator to oversee the implementation of E!BA Out-of-School Youth Bootcamps across districts of operation with Eastern Uganda.

The Program Coordinator is responsible for coordinating Implementation zonal-wide delivery through direct supervision of Program Officers, ensuring consistent quality, strong execution, and alignment to Educate!’s program standards. This role bridges strategy and execution, translating program plans into coordinated action across multiple sites while building the leadership capacity of Program Officers.

What You’ll Do
Zonal Team Culture & Performance Management (35%)

  • Directly supervise and manage Program Officers across assigned delivery zone or units.
  • Conduct regular 1:1 check-ins with Program Officers to review priorities, performance, and challenges.
  • Support Program Officers in planning, execution, and people management.
  • Review and approve PO workplans, activity schedules, and reports.
  • Provide structured coaching, feedback, and performance management to Program Officers.
  • Support onboarding and continuous development of Program Officers.
  • Escalate critical performance, safeguarding, or operational risks to the Program Manager.
  • Coordinate implementation of systems, habits, and ways of working that help teams execute with consistency, speed, and high standards in your assigned zone.
  • Model Educate!’s cultural tenets daily by fostering an environment of openness, trust, collaboration, and high expectations.

  • Proactively address issues related to team morale, conflict, communication, and workload balance.

Zonal Program Coordination & Strategy Execution (30%)

  • Coordinate the district-wide implementation of the E!BA bootcamp across multiple sites ensuring that all site teams meet the delivery key performance indicators.
  • Track implementation progress against the schedule and proactively address flag and risks or delays.
  • Support Program Officers to solve operational challenges at site level.
  • Conduct field visits and spot checks to validate execution quality and propose ways to resolve quality gaps.
  • Drive the adoption of Educate!’s safeguarding policies across your units/ zone. You will ensure every team member is fully trained on EBA protocols and oversee the integrity of our reporting and escalation systems
  • Spearhead the design and continuous improvement of participant retention strategies; partner with key stakeholders to establish clear success metrics and ensure seamless execution and monitoring throughout the bootcamp lifecycle
  • Implement trainer management strategies to ensure high quality training delivery within the zone and flag any training quality risks observed to the EBA training lead.
  • Coordinate the delivery of zonal strategies designed to move youth through the bootcamp pipeline. You will monitor progress toward business plan completion and ensure all logistical and strategic supports are in place for youth to officially start their businesses
  •  Coordinate the implementation of established feedback channels to capture insights from youth and frontline team members. Take ownership of the resolution process, ensuring all feedback is addressed promptly and documented to improve zonal operations.
  • Coordinate closely with the finance and procurement teams to guarantee seamless frontline team logistics for bootcamp delivery.

Quality Assurance, Monitoring & Learning (20%)

  • Oversee implementation of quality assurance systems and approaches across your zone/ units.
  • Execute a regular schedule of monitoring visits to bootcamp sites. Gather feedback from youth and stakeholders to pinpoint operational gaps and ensure the program is being delivered according to Educate! standards.
  • Review and validate reports submitted by Program Officers.
  • Utilize data to identify trends, gaps, and quality risks and propose corrective actions.
  • Coordinate the implementation of learning experience and program delivery experiments.
  • Implement the delivery unit learning agenda within your assigned zone. Collaborate with M&E and product teams to propose additional learning and iterations.
  • Cultivate a data-informed culture among Program Officers, mentoring the team to transition from tactical implementers to strategic owners who leverage reporting to drive program success.

District Partnerships & Stakeholder Coordination (15%)

  • Support Program Officers to manage district- and site-level partnerships.
  • Engage district-level government and community stakeholders as needed in collaboration with the field operations and youth recruitment teams.
  • Ensure partner feedback is captured, documented, and addressed.
  • Represent Educate! in district coordination meetings when required.
  • Support alignment of partnership activities with program objectives.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program coordination, implementation, or management.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising staff, preferably Program Officers or frontline leads.
  • Strong experience in youth-focused, education, or training-based programs.
  • Proven ability to coordinate multiple sites or teams simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-management skills.
  • Ability to analyze reports and use data for decision-making.

Added Advantage

  • Experience working in bootcamp-style or fast-paced implementation models.
