Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Job Purpose
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing all financial and accounting aspects of the Company’s operations, including treasury and financial risk management. The CFO plays a critical role in providing the Company with key insights and leadership in decision-making processes in relation with financial stability, profitability and growth, while ensuring compliance with requirements of regulatory bodies. The CFO works closely with the CEO and executive team to develop and implement the financial strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Strategy: Develop and implement the overall financial strategy aligned with the company’s vision.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to drive business planning.
• Financial Reporting: Oversee accurate and timely financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Cash Flow and Capital Management: Ensure liquidity, manage capital structure, and optimize working capital.
• Cost Control: Drive cost-efficiency initiatives and monitor the company’s cost structure. Risk and Compliance Management: Lead risk management initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory, tax, and financial reporting standards.
• Mergers, Acquisitions, and Investment: Evaluate and execute strategic investments and partnership opportunities.
• Tax: Optimize the company’s tax position within compliance frameworks.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure high performance and alignment with organizational goals.
• Executive Collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and executive leadership team.
Educational Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
Mandatory:
• Must be a Member of ICPAU or a recognized international accounting body such as ACCA, CIMA.
Preferred:
• MBA in Finance, Strategy, or Business Administration.
