Role Description The Construction Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Kampala, responsible for overseeing daily construction activities and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards. This role includes supervising site teams and subcontractors, coordinating work plans, and monitoring progress against project timelines and specifications. The Construction Supervisor conducts regular site inspections, enforces construction safety protocols, and ensures compliance with building codes and company standards. The role also involves communicating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, resolving on-site issues, managing resources and materials, and preparing brief reports on work completed and any challenges encountered.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and proven experience in Site Supervision on residential or commercial construction projects.
• Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to coordinate effectively with site teams, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Candidates should possess solid Inspection skills to verify workmanship, materials, and adherence to drawings, specifications, and building codes.
• Candidates should possess comprehensive knowledge of Construction Safety practices, including implementation of safety plans and enforcement of site safety rules.
• Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and quality.
• Experience working in Uganda’s construction environment and familiarity with local regulations is an added advantage.
