Assistant Lecturer (Food Science & Technology) job at Mountains of the Moon University

Purpose of the job:

To support quality teaching and community engagement to promote, Food Science & Technology.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assist in preparation of Lecture material and conduct lectures to undergraduate students.
2. Assist in setting tests, examinations and coursework.
3. Assist in marking tests and examinations scripts and compiling examinations results.
4. Assist in administering and invigilating tests, examinations and coursework.
5. Assist in supervising undergraduate undertaking research projects.
6. Assist in supervising student projects under guidance and supervision of a Lecturer.
7. Carry out official administrative duties that may be assigned by the Head of Department.
8. Contribute to the University and wider society through community service. and;
9. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Person Specifications:

Qualifications

1. a) in Food Science or Food Technology or Food Biotechnology or Food Engineering or Food Safety or Food Microbiology from a recognized Institution.
2. b) Bachelor of Science in Food Science or Food Technology or Food Processing Technology from a recognized Institution.

b) Experience

Two (2) years teaching experience in an Institution of Higher Learning..
