Role Purpose
The Field Sales Representative will be responsible for direct doortodoor sales, customer education, and aftersales followup for PAYGO solar products and smartphones on loan. You will be the face of Apex Solaris in the community.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Sales & Marketing
  • Conduct daily doortodoor visits and market activations to sell http://D.light solar products and Transsion smartphones on PAYGO
  • Achieve and exceed daily/weekly sales targets: e.g. 5 solar units/day or 3 smartphone loans/week
  • Educate customers on product benefits, PAYGO model, and loan repayment process
  1. Customer Acquisition & Relationship
  • Identify, onboard, and register new customers using the PAYGO app
  • Build trust and rapport in communities, VSLAs, and youth groups
  • Provide product demonstrations and handle customer objections
  1. Loan & Collections Support
  • Guide customers through the smartphone loan application process
  • Follow up with customers to ensure timely loan repayments and low default rates
  • Report repayment challenges to the Team Lead for resolution
  1. Reporting & Compliance
  • Submit daily sales and activity reports to Team Lead
  • Maintain accurate customer data and stock records
  • Ensure proper use and care of demo products and marketing materials
  1. Teamwork
  • Attend weekly training and coaching sessions on sales, product knowledge, and closing skills
  • Work with the field team to achieve cluster and district targets

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Minimum UCE Certificate. Diploma in Sales, Marketing, or Business is an added advantage

Experience: 6+ months in direct sales, FMCG, solar, telecom, or microfinance preferred

Skills:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Selfdriven, targetoriented, and comfortable with field work
  • Basic smartphone/app usage skills
  • Knowledge of local language and community structures

Other:

  • Own a motorcycle and valid riding permit _Added Advantage_
  • Must be resident in or willing to work in assigned district
