About This Job: Our client Technology Associates is seeking a results-driven, competent and experienced Switching and Routing Junior Network Engineer (2-4 years experience) to join their team.
Roles & Required Experience:
o Networking Fundamentals
•OSI & TCP/IP models.
•IPv4 & IPv6 addressing, subnetting, and supernetting.
•ARP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, PAT.
o Switching (Layer 2)
•VLANs, trunking (802.1Q), inter-VLAN routing.
•STP (Spanning Tree Protocol) & its variants (RSTP, MSTP).
•EtherChannel / Link Aggregation (LACP, PaGP).
•MAC address tables and switching logic.
•Port security and switch hardening.
o Routing (Layer 3)
•Static vs dynamic routing.
•Routing protocols: Interior Gateway Protocols (IGPs): OSPF, EIGRP, IS-IS.
•Exterior Gateway Protocols (EGPs): BGP.
•Route summarization, redistribution, and filtering.
•Policy-based routing (PBR).
•High availability protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
