Uganda is prioritising the growth of its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) industry with a goal to create 150,000 jobs by 2030. Government officials highlighted efforts to attract investment, improve skills training, and connect local firms to international markets, particularly in Japan, the UK, and beyond.
The expansion of the BPO sector is being seen as a potential game-changer for youth employment and digital transformation in Uganda’s economy.
